{"product_id":"p1384","title":"Bizen gourd-shaped sake bottle","description":"This is a Bizen gourd-shaped sake flask by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superb aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his mastery of clay, firing, and form. This Bizen piece allows one to enjoy both the intensity of the firing and the quality of the clay. Over the standard \"sesame\" (goma) glaze, an additional layer of scorched sesame emerges like a relief map, giving the firing itself a highly three-dimensional finish. Despite the repeated firings required for such a finish, the smooth, rich texture of the clay remains, and in the rounded \"nuke\" (fire-shielded) area, the clay displays a profound reddish-purple hue reminiscent of old Bizen. Even the base has a shade like melted chocolate; every inch of this piece is a highlight that demands your full attention. Its fluid, gourd-shaped form pours sake with a delightful, rhythmic gurgling sound.\n\nThis is a Bizen gourd-shaped sake flask by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superb aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his mastery of clay, firing, and form.
