{"product_id":"p1523","title":"Bizen Hikidashiguro Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen \"Hikidashiguro\" (pulled black) sake cup by Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki, who continues to lead the world of Bizen ware with an inexhaustible creative spirit. By removing the piece from the kiln during firing and rapidly cooling it, the black surface and *goma* (ash glaze) have undergone a dramatic transformation. The semi-translucent *goma* preserves the fluid movement of the glaze as it was during the firing process, and in the interior, it remains in a gel-like state that looks as though it might still flow at any moment. The black surface has also become clearer, resulting in a remarkably vivid coloration.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san style)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.1cm × Diameter 7.2cm × Height 6.7cm\n\nJun Isezaki was born the second son of Yozan Isezaki, a master known for his ceramic sculptures. He learned pottery from a young age and pursued the craft full-time after graduating from the special art course at Okayama University in 1959. His work covers a broad spectrum, ranging from traditional items such as vases, plates, and tea ceramics to sculptural objects and ceramic wall art. In his creative process, he emphasizes both forming and firing. He is known for a style brimming with modern sensibilities that leverages the unique characteristics of his materials and kilns (anagama, climbing kilns, and electric kilns). He is also recognized as a leading relief artist and has presented numerous works. He became a regular member of the Japan Kōgei Association in 1966 and served as a special art lecturer at Okayama University for nine years starting in 1978. In 1998, he and his brother, Mitsuru, were both designated as Holders of Important Intangible Cultural Property of Okayama Prefecture, and in the same year, he began serving as the Secretary General of the Chugoku Branch of the Japan Kōgei Association. In July 2004, he was designated as a Living National Treasure (Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property). Awards include the Kaneshige Toyo Award, the Okayama Prefecture Cultural Encouragement Award, the Sanyo Shimbun Award, the Excellence Award at the Exhibition of Tea Ceremony Ceramics, and many others. Served as a judge for the Prefectural Art Exhibition.","brand":"伊勢崎 淳","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618352353377,"sku":"1523","price":130000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/1523.jpg?v=1790235323","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p1523","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
