{"product_id":"p1681","title":"Bizen sake cup","description":"This is a Bizen sake cup by the esteemed Bizen treasure, Go Kaneshige, whose grandfather was a Living National Treasure and whose father was an Intangible Cultural Property holder. The piece was fired in a straight anagama kiln, with bricks arranged inside to create a makeshift \"suna\" (hidden kiln) effect. It was rolled through intense flames during firing, resulting in a sophisticated \"haikaburi\" (ash-covered) finish while producing a deep, rich scarlet hue. The unadorned form, born from his honest personality, is truly deserving of being called \"shitsujitsu goken\" (unpretentious and robust).\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please allow some time for delivery)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.0cm × Diameter 6.8cm × Height 4.5cm\n\nGo Kaneshige was born as the second son of the Intangible Cultural Property holder, Michiaki Kaneshige, and is the grandson of the great Living National Treasure, Toyo Kaneshige.
