{"product_id":"p1749","title":"Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a new Bizen sake cup by Kosuke Kaneshige, the leader of the Kaneshige family, whose father was the great restorer of Bizen ware and Living National Treasure, Toyo Kaneshige. It is a well-fired piece characterized by an ash glaze (*haikaburi*) that resembles rugged, protruding volcanic rock. Between the clear areas and the ash glaze, the clay body reveals a shimmering scarlet tone, a testament to the exceptional quality of the Kaneshige family’s clay, which displays such diverse transformations even when fired at high temperatures. Complementing the crisp, dry finish of the piece, the bitter-mild, sculptural form features subtle decorative accents precisely placed on the rim and foot—a hallmark of Kosuke Kaneshige’s style. When viewed head-on, the rim forms a beautiful, undulating wave, allowing you to enjoy the craftsmanship with both your lips and your eyes.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.2cm x 6.8cm x Height 5.3cm\n\nKosuke Kaneshige is the third son of Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige.
