{"product_id":"p1755","title":"Hidasuki Sake Cup","description":"This is a *hi-dasuki* sake cup by Tomio Ochi, an artist who works tirelessly at his kiln under the guidance of Yasuhito Abe, pouring his relentless passion into his ceramics. Fired in a kiln specially designed with unique refractory bricks, this piece was pushed until the Seger cones collapsed, reflecting Ochi's commitment to challenging himself until he is satisfied with the transformation of the clay particles. Due to a high-temperature firing process unlike any other, the cup produces a clear, high-pitched ringing sound reminiscent of glass or metal. It features the rich, vibrant *hi-dasuki* (fire-cord) markings for which Ochi is renowned—markings that will become even more beautiful when moistened with sake.\n\nSigned wooden storage box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipping).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.4cm × Diameter 7.4cm × Height 5.4cm\n\nTomio Ochi graduated from Niihama Technical High School in Ehime Prefecture in 1949.
