{"product_id":"p1855","title":"Bizen small plate","description":"This is a series of small plates by Masao Akitani, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with unique originality while embracing a fresh spirit. These pieces are a delight to use; their size of around 15 cm makes them convenient, easy to handle, and simple to store, as they are neither too wide nor too tall. The appeal lies in the varied firing techniques, including the kiln transformation (yohen) characteristic of an anagama wood-fired kiln, and a refined black finish that reflects the artist’s meticulous attention to detail. When in use, they serve as the perfect supporting role typical of Bizen ware, beautifully highlighting the main course, whether it be food, sweets, or fruit.\n\nPaper box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 15.9cm × 15.9cm × Height 2.6cm\n\nMasao Akitani was born in Saitama in 1968.
