{"product_id":"p1973","title":"Colored Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a Saishiki-Bizen (polychrome Bizen) sake cup by Anjin Abe, an artist who possesses profound insight and an aesthetic sensibility for ancient pottery, and who creates one-of-a-kind works through his original research and firing techniques. It is a magnificent sake cup featuring a majestic Mount Fuji landscape that is perfect for the New Year. The white coloring on the snow-capped peak and plum blossoms is a remarkably vivid white unseen before, allowing you to enjoy his new coloring technique. While one is easily captivated by the stunning representation of the \"Red Fuji,\" the rich, heavy *goma* (ash glaze) also has a solid presence, creating a magnificent contrast with the coloring.\n\nSigned box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipment)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.7cm × Diameter 5.9cm × Height 6.2cm\n\nAnjin Abe was originally a Western-style painter. He collected pottery as a hobby, but finding contemporary Bizen ware unsatisfying, he began pottery in 1972 to create pieces that met his own standards. He frequently creates water jars, flower vases, flat jars, bowls, sake bottles, and sake cups. All are wheel-thrown and finished with a spatula. He bases his pottery on ancient Bizen ware from the Momoyama period and is fastidious about his firing process. He also exhibits works that combine various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze (mixed media), and is engaged in diverse expressive activities. He actively holds solo exhibitions both in Japan and overseas, including in Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618420510817,"sku":"1973","price":130000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/1973.jpg?v=1790235933","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p1973","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
