p2002
Bizen ware rice bowl
This rice bowl features a rustic, earthenware charm, fired using local mountain clay by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, who apprenticed under the master Sozan Kaneshige. Its appeal lies in its coarse, pebble-rich texture and sophisticated, understated fired finish. With daily use, the earthen quality will deepen, and the texture will gradually become smoother. Since it is generously sized, it is also well-suited for preparing and enjoying matcha. Bizen rice bowls have a reputation for being easy to use as rice grains do not easily stick to them, making this an excellent choice for a gift.

Paper box
Diameter 13.7cm × Diameter 13.7cm × Height 6.5cm

About gift wrapping

Yoshiteru Koriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.
