p2003
Bizen rice bowl
This rice bowl features a rustic charm characteristic of earthenware, crafted using the mountain clay preferred by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist and former apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. Its appeal lies in its coarse, pebble-rich texture and sophisticated, subdued firing. With daily use, the earthiness will deepen and the texture will gradually become smoother. As it is quite large, it also makes for an enjoyable vessel for preparing matcha. Bizen rice bowls are well-regarded for being easy to use as rice grains do not stick to them easily, making them an excellent choice for a gift.

Paper box
Diameter 13.4cm x Diameter 13.3cm x Height 6.7cm

About Gift Wrapping

Yoshiteru Koriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.
