{"product_id":"p2055","title":"Bizen Yohen Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen sake cup by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Kōriki, a former live-in apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. The black-silver ash glaze, which seems to seep slowly into the surface, is a masterpiece that truly represents the essence of Kōriki’s work. The base in particular is fired to a crisp, allowing one to enjoy the light reflecting off the black-silver kiln transformation. The kiln change, which is neither too intense nor too subtle, has a profound depth, combining with the mountain-shaped unglazed patch to create a magnificent landscape.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san) included\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.5cm × Diameter 6.6cm × Height 6.0cm\n\nYoshiteru Kōriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture. After seven years of training, he built his own climbing kiln in Shizutani, Bizen City, in 1996 and set out on his own, successfully firing his first kiln the following year.
