p2249
Mug
This Bizen mug was created by Yukio Tomori, who began his path in pottery in Okinawa and studied under Taisetsu Sueishi in Bizen. Wishing to capture the "most beautiful moment" of the clay as it constantly shifts shape on the potter's wheel, he has developed a style that makes it look as if the dynamic clay has been fired exactly as it was. The style, which appears to be dancing joyfully, feels as though it might keep expanding to the touch, making the viewer feel a sense of delight as well. Having your morning cup of coffee in this mug feels as if it is cheering you on, saying, "Do your best today."

"Yukio Tomori Special Feature"

No box included
Diameter 13.7cm × Diameter 9.7cm × Height 10.7cm

Yukio Tomori was born on Miyako Island, Okinawa.
