p2392
Hidasuki bowl
This is a new Hidasuki (fire-cord) bowl by Takashi Baba, an artist born in Imbe who has loved Bizen ware since childhood and finds joy in creating works and firing kilns. This piece was designed with daily use as the primary focus, pursuing extreme lightness with a restrained design. Because it is incredibly thin and lightweight, it is recommended for those who dislike heavy pottery, yet it features the well-fired Hidasuki characteristic of Bizen ware. The dark brown earthy tone graduates into a reddish-brown, and a deep, flavorful Hidasuki pattern emerges in the white center. As shown in the photo, it can be used for anything, including salads, pasta and other noodles, or fruit.

"Takashi Baba Special Feature"

No box
Diameter 19.2cm x 19.1cm x Height 7.7cm

Takashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
