{"product_id":"p2410","title":"Hidasuki Sake Cup","description":"This new Hidasuki sake cup is by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing the kiln. While Baba-sensei is known for his uniquely beautiful forms, this piece expresses a \"static\" form where the firing itself takes center stage, rather than his signature dynamic style. The rising curve of the body and the foot, which has been only slightly carved after being cut from the wheel, embody a quiet yet profound sculptural beauty. In keeping with this static form, the piece was fired in a strong reduction atmosphere to avoid sesame ash, resulting in a beautiful silver-hued Hidasuki against a bean-paste-colored surface.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.tourakuen.jp\/baba.takashi.tokusyu.php\"\u003e\"Takashi Baba Special Feature\"\u003c\/a\u003e\n\nDiameter 7.4cm x 7.4cm x Height 4.5cm\n\nTakashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
