{"product_id":"p2412","title":"Yohen Sake Cup","description":"This is a new *yohen* (kiln-transformed) sake cup by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing the kiln. It is a truly spectacular piece featuring *haikaburi yohen* (ash-covered kiln transformation), where the ash has fully melted into a glassy substance, representing what could be called the ultimate kiln transformation. Rather than mere chamfering, the form has a sense of speed, as if the clay had been carved away with a sharp knife. The foot, carved directly from the clay, is magnificent and perfectly complements the outstanding kiln-transformation.\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.tourakuen.jp\/baba.takashi.tokusyu.php\"\u003e\"Takashi Baba Special Feature\"\u003c\/a\u003e\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided at a later date (please allow some time for delivery).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 5.7cm x 5.2cm x Height 7.7cm\n\nTakashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
