{"product_id":"p2458","title":"Colored Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a new painted Bizen sake cup by Anjin Abe, an artist who possesses deep insight and an aesthetic sense for antique pottery, and who creates one-of-a-kind works through his original research and firing techniques. An iris flower is carved into the piece to suit the season, vividly depicted with powerful brushstrokes on the ceramic canvas. The color palette is characteristic of Abe's style; while each individual color is vivid, they are masterfully composed to create a well-integrated and highly appealing aesthetic. The profound quality of the firing is also present, making this a truly unique work that could only be created by Anjin Abe, who follows his own path as both a painter and a ceramic artist.\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please allow some time for shipment)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.6cm x 6.0cm x Height 6.5cm\n\nAnjin Abe was originally a Western-style painter. He collected pottery as a hobby, but feeling that contemporary Bizen lacked something, he began practicing ceramics in 1972 to create pieces that satisfied him. He frequently produces water jars (mizusashi), flower vases (hanaire), flattened jars (henko), bowls, sake bottles (tokkuri), and sake cups (shunomi). Every piece is thrown on the wheel and finished with a spatula. He bases his approach to pottery on Momoyama-period antique Bizen and is highly particular about his firing process. Furthermore, he engages in diverse creative activities, presenting works that combine various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze (mixed media). He holds solo exhibitions energetically both in Japan and abroad, in cities including Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618452033633,"sku":"2458","price":130000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/2458.jpg?v=1790236434","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p2458","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
