p2487
guinomi
This sake cup (guinomi) is the work of Kazuhiro Mori, who follows in the footsteps of his father, a man who has dedicated his life to large-kiln firing, and who himself aspires to recreate the powerful beauty of ancient Bizen ware through this same technique. The slightly opened form, reminiscent of a bud about to bloom, reveals Mori's delicate sensibilities. Like morning dew dampening a bud, scorched *kase-goma* (ash glaze) slides across the surface of the vessel. The tea-brown body features subtle gradations and hints of scarlet, creating a profound sense of depth.

Signed wooden box to follow (please allow some time for shipment).
Diameter: 6.0cm x 5.8cm x Height: 6.0cm

About the "Kazuhiro Mori Special Feature"

Kazuhiro Mori was born as the eldest son of Togaku Mori.
