{"product_id":"p2561","title":"Ido saké cup","description":"This is a new Ido-style sake cup by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his work with clay, firing, and form. As one would expect from Mr. Morimoto, who threw himself into the creation of this piece with a longing for the legendary Ido masterworks, this latest work possesses a powerful presence as if it had aged for many years. From the adjustment of the glaze to the beauty of the three-tiered expansion of the body, one can sense that every moment was crafted with unwavering focus. The piece itself is highly absorbent, and the way it changes—including the development of craquelure and the texture of the surface—is one of its great pleasures. (Please note that due to the nature of the work, sake cannot be left in the cup for long periods of time.)\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please allow some time for delivery)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 9.5cm × 9.4cm × Height 5.0cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
