{"product_id":"p2645","title":"Polychrome Bizen ware cup with dragon-shaped handles","description":"This is a brand-new colored Bizen dragon-ear sake cup, freshly created by Anjin Abe, an artist who possesses profound insight and aesthetic sensibility regarding antique pottery, and who creates one-of-a-kind works through his unique research and firing techniques. Unlike his previous colored works, this piece features an entirely new design: the exterior is left uncolored, while the interior is adorned with a large floral illustration. Using green and blue as the primary colors rather than red, the floral patterns are rendered in a vibrant palette that immediately captures the eye. The use of molten gold, applied to the surface, blends surprisingly well with the Bizen clay texture, a testament to the sharp color sense of Abe-sensei, who is also a painter. This dainty floral cup is different from any of his previous colored sake cups and will undoubtedly captivate anyone who lays eyes on it.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for delivery).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 12.0cm (including ears) × Diameter 7.4cm × Height 3.3cm\n\nAnjin Abe was originally a Western-style painter. While he collected pottery as a hobby, he began creating his own ceramics in 1972 after finding modern Bizen ware lacking and wanting to produce pieces that satisfied his own standards. He frequently creates water jars, vases, flat vases, bowls, sake bottles, and sake cups, all of which are wheel-thrown and finished with a spatula. His pottery is rooted in the antique Bizen ware of the Momoyama period, with a meticulous focus on firing techniques. Additionally, he engages in diverse expressive activities, presenting works that combine various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze (mixed media). He holds solo exhibitions energetically both in Japan and abroad, including in Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618480836705,"sku":"2645","price":126000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/2645.jpg?v=1790236681","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p2645","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
