{"product_id":"p2657","title":"Colored Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a new painted Bizen sake cup by Anjin Abe, an artist who possesses deep insight and an aesthetic sense for antique pottery, and who creates one-of-a-kind works through his original research and firing techniques. Set against a gold background reminiscent of a folding screen painting, the piece features an elegantly stylized carving of a plant. The melted and fired-on gold harmonizes with the well-fired Bizen surface, transforming the cup into a canvas that only Anjin—a master of both painting and pottery—could command. This painting in the palm of your hand is framed by a robust body that rivals that of ancient Bizen ware, while the \"sesame\" glaze drips with fine crackling in the interior can truly be described as pigments created by the flames.\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please allow some time for shipping).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.3cm x 5.9cm x Height 6.2cm\n\nAnjin Abe was originally a Western-style painter. He began collecting pottery as a hobby, but finding contemporary Bizen lacking, he started creating his own in 1972 to satisfy his vision. He frequently produces water jars, flower vases, flattened jars, bowls, sake bottles, and sake cups, all of which are wheel-thrown and finished with a spatula. He bases his ceramic work on the antique Bizen of the Momoyama period and is uncompromising in his firing techniques. He also engages in diverse expressive activities, presenting works that combine various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze (mixed media). He holds solo exhibitions energetically both in Japan and abroad, including in Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618482933857,"sku":"2657","price":130000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/2657.jpg?v=1790236700","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p2657","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
