{"product_id":"p2686","title":"Colored Bizen Tea Bowl","description":"This is a new colored Bizen tea bowl by Anjin Abe, an artist with profound insight into and an aesthetic sensibility for antique pottery, who creates one-of-a-kind works through his original research and firing techniques. By melting and firing gold, the piece achieves a magnificent coloration reminiscent of a folding screen painting. A vibrant blue flowing stream and deep crimson earth are depicted against a shimmering gold background, looking as though a blue dragon is flying around Mount Fuji. The paulownia crests feature a new light blue color in addition to red, blue, green, and gold, with a gorgeous, opulent array of flowers in full bloom that overwhelms the viewer. The intense impact of the coloration is superbly supported by the profound firing and powerful modeling.\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please allow some time for delivery).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 12.6cm × Diameter 12.5cm × Height 8.8cm\n\nAnjin Abe was originally a Western-style painter. He began collecting pottery as a hobby, but feeling unsatisfied with contemporary Bizen ware, he began ceramic art in 1972 to create works that truly satisfied him. He frequently creates water jars, flower vases, flattened jars, bowls, sake bottles, and sake cups, all of which are wheel-thrown and finished with a spatula. He bases his pottery on the ancient Bizen style of the Momoyama period and is meticulous about his firing processes. He also engages in diverse expressive activities, presenting mixed-media works that combine various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze. He holds solo exhibitions energetically both in Japan and overseas, including in Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618487455841,"sku":"2686","price":850000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/2686.jpg?v=1790236742","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p2686","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
