{"product_id":"p2698","title":"Polychrome Bizen Sake Bottle","description":"This is a new colored Bizen sake bottle by Anjin Abe, a creator whose deep insight into ancient pottery and refined aesthetic sense allow him to produce one-of-a-kind works through his original research and firing techniques. Its dynamic form and the patterns of mist and flora that follow its curves are magnificent. The attention to detail is remarkable, with a composition that makes Mount Fuji appear distant, like a painting, while cobalt blue flowers are rendered in the foreground. The neck and shoulder are covered in a profound \"goma\" (ash glaze) derived from Abe's own unique theories, asserting a strong individual character as a ceramic piece that holds its own against the striking colors.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided at a later date (please allow some time for shipping).\u003cbr\u003e\nRim 3.7cm x Body diameter 8.5cm x Body diameter 8.2cm x Height 12.9cm; Capacity approx. 280cc\n\nAnjin Abe was originally a Western-style painter. He began collecting pottery as a hobby, but finding contemporary Bizen ware unsatisfying, he started creating his own in 1972 to produce pieces that lived up to his standards. He frequently creates water jars (mizusashi), flower vases, flat bottles, bowls, sake bottles, and sake cups. All are wheel-thrown and finished with a spatula. His pottery is rooted in the aesthetics of Momoyama-period ancient Bizen, with a meticulous focus on firing techniques. He also engages in diverse expressive activities, presenting works (mixed media) that combine various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze. He holds solo exhibitions energetically both in Japan and abroad, including in Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618489552993,"sku":"2698","price":500000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/2698.jpg?v=1790236760","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p2698","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
