{"product_id":"p2703","title":"Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen sake cup by Takashi Baba, an artist born in Inbe who has loved Bizen ware since childhood and finds his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. This sake cup features a powerful form created by hand-building, without the use of a potter's wheel. In true energetic Baba fashion, it is a very large size, resembling a tea bowl, and it is endearing to imagine how much he must have enjoyed the hand-building process. Fired slowly in front of the flame, it is colored with an intense \"goma\" (sesame) glaze effect that suits its bold form.\n\nSigned wooden box (two-way cross-braced) \u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.9cm x Diameter 8.4cm x Height 6.3cm\n\nTakashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
