{"product_id":"p2824","title":"Bizen tea cup","description":"This Bizen teacup is by Tomio Ochi, an artist who diligently dedicated himself to firing kilns under the guidance of Anjin Abe, and who continues to pour his insatiable passion into his ceramics. The piece was slowly formed by hand, and upon picking it up, one feels a profound sense of gravity, as if the clay has been condensed to a high density. It has a somewhat heavy, substantial feel, and paired with its intense firing and robust form, it possesses a powerful presence that seems to reach out to the viewer despite being a teacup. The Bizen surface, characterized by a unique reddish hue achieved through exhaustive research, possesses a presence as if it had aged for centuries.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided at a later date (please allow some time for shipping).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.5cm x Diameter 8.5cm x Height 10.3cm\n\nTomio Ochi graduated from Niihama Technical High School in Ehime Prefecture in 1949.
