{"product_id":"p2874","title":"Kohiki sake cup","description":"This is a Kohiki sake cup by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superb aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his handling of clay, firing, and craftsmanship. True to form for an artist who approaches his work with reverence for Joseon dynasty pottery, this is a highly authentic piece in both its glaze and form. The thickness of the glaze varies across the rim, the interior, and areas where glazes intersect, revealing the diverse expressions possible within the single glaze of Kohiki. Great attention has also been paid to the firing process; when sake is poured, it permeates the glaze, causing the color to shift in a manner reminiscent of \"amamori\" (leaking rain) staining. (Please note that the peeling of the glaze around the waist is intentional and part of the artist's design.)\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san) included\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 10.2cm × Diameter 9.7cm × Height 4.4cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
