{"product_id":"p3058","title":"Bizen four-sun plate","description":"These are new Bizen four-sun plates by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who is constantly evolving in his approach to clay, firing, and craftsmanship. Focusing on the theme of \"toriawase\" (combination\/pairing), which has been his primary focus in recent years, we commissioned these pieces to be enjoyed alongside the sake vessels and other works he has released in the past. At just under 15 centimeters, this easy-to-use plate is versatile enough for a variety of purposes, such as an individual serving plate at a dinner party or a dish for sweets. The firing is precisely executed in Morimoto’s signature old-Bizen style, featuring fine, layered \"goma\" (ash glaze) that resembles maki-e lacquerware, while the understated \"hidasuki\" (fire-cord) markings create a sophisticated aesthetic.\n\nPaper box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 15.0cm x 14.8cm x Height 2.0cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
