{"product_id":"p3063","title":"Bizen-yaki pounded clay plate","description":"This is a new four-sun Bizen plate by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his handling of clay, firing, and craftsmanship. Focusing on the concept of \"toriawase\" (harmonious combination), which has been a central theme in Morimoto-sensei’s work in recent years, he has created this piece of tableware intended to be enjoyed in combination with the sake vessels and other items he has released previously. At just under 15 centimeters, this easy-to-use plate is versatile enough for a variety of purposes, such as serving side dishes or sweets at a sake gathering. The firing technique is a true expression of the \"Morimoto-style\" Old Bizen aesthetic, featuring layers of fine \"goma\" (ash glaze) that resemble maki-e lacquerware, with a faded \"hidasuki\" (fire-cord) pattern that creates a refined and understated landscape.\n\nPaper box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 15.6cm × 15.2cm × Height 1.3cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
