{"product_id":"p3166","title":"Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen sake cup by Koichiro Isezaki, who was born as the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and is breathing new life into the world of Bizen ware with his exceptional sense and masterful sculptural skills. This sake cup features an intense *yohen* (kiln transformation) effect that is rarely achieved, even within a single firing. By being placed under larger pieces during the firing process, it has absorbed the same intense heat as a large vase, resulting in a body that is nearly ninety percent covered in rich yellow *goma* (ash glaze). The *mikomi* (interior) where it came into contact with other pieces reveals the red earthen clay marked by a large *kaiaato* (shell impression), serving as an accent amidst the dramatic *goma* landscape.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 9.6cm × Diameter 8.7cm × Height 4.0cm\n\nKoichiro Isezaki was born the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki. The Isezaki family is a prestigious lineage in Bizen ware; his grandfather was the Intangible Cultural Property holder Yozan Isezaki, and his uncle was the Intangible Cultural Property holder Mitsuru Isezaki. Koichiro aspired to become a ceramic artist from a young age. After graduating from the Department of Sculpture at Tokyo Zokei University in 1994, he studied abroad in the United States. He trained for about two years under Jeff Shapiro, a ceramic artist based in New York City, which greatly broadened his perspective on art and ceramics. After returning to Japan in 2000, he trained under his father alongside his father's other disciples. In 2002, he submitted a piece to the Tanabe Museum of Art Tea Ceremony Exhibition for the first time and was selected.","brand":"伊勢崎晃一朗","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618528448609,"sku":"3166","price":20000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/3166.jpg?v=1790237419","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p3166","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
