{"product_id":"p3176","title":"Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen sake cup by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist who was an apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. Upon removal from the kiln, the *kase-goma* (dry, crusty ash glaze), which featured deep, bark-like wrinkles, was meticulously smoothed by hand, resulting in a piece with a gentle texture that still retains the withered-wood aesthetic of the *kase-goma*. The work focuses on the beauty of the clay's inherent character, the fundamental essence of Bizen ware; the clay body, with its gradation from a faint orange to a rich, lustrous *shiso* (perilla-leaf) purple, is nothing short of magnificent. It is a piece that invites one to take their time and nurture it through use.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san style)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.9cm × Diameter 6.4cm × Height 5.8cm\n\nYoshiteru Koriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he studied under the masters Sozan Kaneshige and his son Yuho Kaneshige starting in 1989. Following seven years of training, he built his own climbing kiln in Shizutani, Bizen City, in 1996 to strike out on his own, successfully completing his first firing the following year. He held his first solo exhibition in Tokyo in 2000 and has held annual exhibitions since. In 1999, his work was selected for the \"Exhibition of Confectionery Vessels I'd Like to Use,\" and in 2002, he was selected for the \"Chanoyu Modeling Exhibition\" for the first time.","brand":"高力芳照","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618528743521,"sku":"3176","price":12000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/3176.jpg?v=1790237433","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p3176","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
