{"product_id":"p3330","title":"Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen sake cup by Rokuro Nakamura, a master craftsman of Bizen ware revered as a god of sake vessel creation. This piece was crafted during the period just before his later years, as his style began to evolve into the distinct, alluring forms for which he is known. The black clay body transitions abruptly into a red hue, creating a vivid landscape different from the soft scarlet tones of his final years. The interior features a deep, earthy texture contrasted by brilliant scarlet, offering an exceptional tactile experience. (Please note that while this is a previous work, it shows little sign of use.)\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san style)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.1cm × Diameter 7.0cm × Height 6.0cm\n\nRokuro Nakamura worked as a company employee until the end of the war, after which he studied under Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige in 1945 to hone his skills, eventually establishing his own Rokuro Kiln in 1961. He preferred creating sake vessels such as tokkuri on the potter's wheel, though he also produced hobin teapots, kyusu teapots, and tea bowls using the slab-building technique. Known for his simple, rustic, and wild style, he placed great importance on the firing process of his unglazed stoneware and focused heavily on kiln loading, which determined the quality of his work. He was certified as a Traditional Craftsman in 1986, the same year he received the Okayama Nichinichi Shimbun Award, and was later awarded the Order of the Blue Paulownia Leaves in the spring of 1989. He passed away in April 2004.","brand":"中村六郎","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618534019169,"sku":"3330","price":100000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/3330.jpg?v=1790237651","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p3330","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
