{"product_id":"p3917","title":"Bizen sake bottle","description":"This is an exquisite Bizen sake bottle by the timeless master Ken Fujiwara, a man who possessed both bold ingenuity and meticulous precision. It features the turnip-shaped form that was a signature of Fujiwara-sensei, and it bears a superb kiln-transformation (yohen) born from the high quality of the clay. While it exhibits a rich ash-covered glaze, it is by no means overfired; the lower section and both sides of the body display magnificent scarlet hues, making it a piece that is as wonderful to look at as it is to use. The calm style, so characteristic of Fujiwara-sensei, gives the piece an atmosphere that makes one want to spend time nurturing it. (Please note in advance that there are signs of use and a faint scent of sake.)\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san style)\u003cbr\u003e\nRim 3.3cm × Body diameter 10.0cm × Body diameter 10.0cm × Height 12.9cm; Capacity approx. 400cc\n\nKen Fujiwara (1924–1977) began his career in ceramics in 1946 under his uncle, Kei Fujiwara, and also studied under Toyo Kaneshige and Sozan Kaneshige. He later learned tableware production techniques from Rosanjin Kitaoji in Kamakura, before becoming independent and building his own kiln in 1956. Thereafter, he was selected for various exhibitions in succession. In 1970, he designed and constructed a large Bizen kiln using modern firebricks. In 1973, he was designated a Prefectural Important Intangible Cultural Property holder. He was also awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Fifth Class. Though he was looked to as a leader destined to carry the future of Bizen pottery, he passed away at the young age of 53.","brand":"藤原 建","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618556825697,"sku":"3917","price":70000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/3917.jpg?v=1790238398","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p3917","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
