{"product_id":"p4011","title":"Bizen Hidasuki Sake Cup","description":"This is a Bizen hidasuki (fire-cord) sake cup by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, an apprentice of the master Sozan Kaneshige. It features the magnificent hidasuki patterns inherited from Sozan Kaneshige, who developed a technique using an electric kiln combined with wood firing to create a fresh, vibrant crimson cord effect. The firing process, which involves raising the temperature even more slowly and carefully than in a climbing kiln, gives the piece such a high degree of vitrification that it produces a metallic sound when tapped with a finger. The unique, thick, and bold foot, which even borders on rustic, exudes both strength and a mellow gentleness, a testament to the influence of Sozan Kaneshige and the character of Koriki himself.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.0cm x 6.8cm x Height 5.1cm\n\nYoshiteru Koriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.
