Yamamoto pioneered his own unique style of \"hidasuki\" (fire-cord) patterns, which are famous for their light, vivid appearance striking across a strong, white clay body. Formed through his exceptional potter's wheel technique and fired under meticulous temperature control, the cup possesses a shape that is thin and supple, yet exudes a dignified presence. The rim is tapered to a degree that is truly peerless, reaching a sharpness that is rarely felt even in pottery.\n\nOriginal signed box (shiho-zan style)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.3cm × Diameter 8.3cm × Height 8.6cm\n\nToshu Yamamoto (1906–1994, born in Ibe, Bizen City) entered the world of ceramics in 1921 and established his own kiln in 1933.
