{"product_id":"p4110","title":"Bizen-yaki Faceted Sake Cup","description":"This is a freshly kiln-fired Bizen faceted sake cup by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who is constantly evolving in his approach to clay, firing, and craftsmanship. True to Morimoto-sensei, who pours his heart into the study of ancient ceramics, this is a magnificent sake cup where a deep, rich yellow sesame glaze (kigo-ma) and a uniquely alluring clay texture are unified. The character of the clay is a rich, ochre color like melted chocolate, pairing perfectly with the vibrant yellow sesame glaze. While it is draped in a weighty yellow sesame glaze reminiscent of ancient Bizen openwork bowls, the form is full of a contemporary, dynamic energy, with vigorous spatula marks dancing across the large body. It has a substantial, imposing feel in the hand, yet the spatula marks provide a grip that makes it easy to hold.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san) included\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.3cm x Diameter 6.8cm x Height 6.3cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
