{"product_id":"p4203","title":"Bizen ware sake cup","description":"This is a new Bizen sake cup by Junpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige school. This latest work was fired in a kiln between late May and June 2016, and by slightly altering the firing technique from previous attempts, he has succeeded in further bringing out the potential of the clay. The richly fired *haikaburi* (ash-covered) kiln transformation is beautifully carbonized, with parts shifting into a silvery-purple hue that emits a fantastical glow. The *nuke* (uncovered areas), which is essential for kiln transformation, is also clearly present, and along with the distinct *kumadori* (markings), you can fully enjoy the Kaneshige style of kiln transformation. The area below the rim is slightly constricted, making it easy to hold by placing your fingers there. (Please note in advance that there is slight wobbling due to the shape of the foot.)\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.0cm x Diameter 7.0cm x Height 5.2cm\n\nJunpei Kaneshige was born in Komaba, Tokyo, in 1972, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige.
