p4233
Strawberry Fields
These are the brand-new "Strawberry Fields" pieces, fresh from the kiln by Koji Nakahara, who studied under Fumio Kawabata and aims to create works that suit modern life. Utilizing the benefits of living in Osaka, he has created these cute objects that can be used easily in an entryway or room, with a contemporary sensibility that avoids overthinking. A magnet is inserted into the base of each strawberry so it can stand on a metal plate; you can enjoy the retro atmosphere of the faded strawberry and the metal plate while keeping the piece stable. At his solo exhibition held at the end of August, he displayed them by arranging multiple metal plates in a checkerboard pattern. (Please note that the crack in one of the leaves is intentional as part of the design.)

Paper box
Strawberry: 5.2cm diameter × 5.1cm diameter × 6.2cm height
Metal plate: 5.2cm length × 5.2cm width × 0.4cm thickness

Koji Nakahara was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1978.
