{"product_id":"p4357","title":"Bizen tea cup","description":"This Bizen-yaki teacup is by Koichiro Isezaki, who was born as the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and has breathed new life into the Bizen pottery world with his extraordinary sense of style and masterful sculpting ability. Intentionally departing from his previous designs, this wheel-thrown piece features a refreshing high-footed design. The signature hook-spatula carving of the Isezaki lineage is used here as a subtle accent, which not only improves grip but also evokes the feel of wood-carved chisel marks. Crafted from brown-toned clay and fired in an anagama kiln, the piece possesses a coffee-brown texture. It features the characteristic, rapidly shifting scenery of an anagama firing, with a darker brown-toned surface on the back accented by a striking, lightning-like yellow thread-goma glaze.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.8cm × Diameter 7.6cm × Height 9.1cm\n\nKoichiro Isezaki was born as the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki. The Isezaki family is a prestigious name in Bizen pottery; his grandfather was the Intangible Cultural Property holder Yozan Isezaki, and his uncle was the Intangible Cultural Property holder Mitsuru Isezaki, and Koichiro himself aspired to pottery from a young age. After graduating from the Department of Sculpture at Tokyo Zokei University in 1994, he studied abroad in the United States. He spent approximately two years studying pottery under New York-based ceramic artist Jeff Shapiro, significantly broadening his perspective on art and ceramics. Upon returning to Japan in 2000, he continued his training under the guidance of his father and his father's disciples. In 2002, he submitted a piece to the Tanabe Museum of Art’s Tea Ceremony Exhibition, where it was selected for his first exhibition entry.","brand":"伊勢崎晃一朗","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618599194721,"sku":"4357","price":8000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/4357.jpg?v=1790238977","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p4357","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
