{"product_id":"p4408","title":"Bizen tea bowl","description":"This is a slightly earlier Bizen tea bowl by Go Kaneshige, who built his kiln in Kukui and continues his research and pottery making. Fired in the climbing kiln used during his Ibe period, this bowl features the exceptionally high-quality \"goma\" (sesame glaze) characteristic of the Kaneshige school. The profound scorched sesame effect, synonymous with the Kaneshige family's tea bowls, appears on the front, serving both as a visual landscape and a natural glaze. The clay quality of the foot and interior also showcases the masterful standard inherited from his grandfather, Toyo Kaneshige; the clay body, appearing in shades of shiso-red and bright brown, subtly changes color depending on the viewing angle. As a tea bowl, it is slightly compact, offering a refined form that fits comfortably in the palm of the hand.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 11.1cm × Diameter 11.0cm × Height 8.3cm\n\nGo Kaneshige was born as the second son of Intangible Cultural Property holder Michiaki Kaneshige and is the grandson of the great Living National Treasure, Toyo Kaneshige.
