{"product_id":"p4589","title":"Bizen ware plate","description":"This is a Bizen plate by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist who was an apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. The work offers a glimpse into the lively character of the clay that is characteristic of Koriki-sensei, who was mentored by Sozan and Yuho Kaneshige and taught the secrets of clay preparation rooted in the Kaneshige tradition. The shaping is done by carefully beating and stretching the clay, resulting in a well-balanced, thin, and refined form that is light and comfortable to hold. The entire surface has a textured finish known as \"ishime-hada\" (stone-like texture), and through Koriki-sensei's meticulous finishing, it possesses a gentle, soft feel that makes you want to keep touching it despite it being a plate. To prevent staining, we recommend wetting it slightly before use; this will also bring out the beauty of the scarlet \"hi-iro\" tones and increase your enjoyment of its appearance.\n\nPaper box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 28.1cm × 28.0cm × Height 1.9cm\n\nYoshiteru Koriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.
