{"product_id":"p4698","title":"Bizen sake cup","description":"This Bizen sake cup is by Kosuke Yashiro, who spent his formative years dreaming of working with Bizen ware in Ibe, and who has finally achieved his long-held ambition of building his own kiln there and making his debut. It is a quintessential piece of Bizen ware, reflecting the dedication of Yashiro-sensei, who was captivated by the works of the many potters born, raised, and buried in Ibe, and who committed his life to Bizen pottery. This piece is fired with exceptional intensity; over a yellowish-green goma (sesame) glaze reminiscent of the work of Toshu Yamamoto, a well-melted hai-kaburi (ash-covered) glaze forms a sea-cucumber-like texture. It is a firing that could almost be described as entirely ash-covered, with only the foot left exposed, revealing the clay. Even that foot displays a rich, metallic-toned clay quality, turning a lustrous orange that creates a fascinating contrast with the intense kiln-alteration effects.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipping)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.1cm × Diameter 6.7cm × Height 5.8cm\n\nKosuke Yashiro was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1979. From around 2000, he trained under various kilns and artists in Ibe, Bizen City. He built his own kiln and became independent in Ibe in September 2016.","brand":"屋代剛右","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618654048353,"sku":"4698","price":5500.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/4698.jpg?v=1790239406","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p4698","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
