{"product_id":"p4787","title":"Bizen sake bottle","description":"This is a new Bizen sake flask, fresh from the kiln by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, a former apprentice of the late master Sozan Kaneshige. Fired at the end of September 2017, this latest work showcases the consistent quality expected of Koriki-sensei while offering a rich, varied aesthetic. Among the classic ash-covered yohen (kiln-changed) Bizen sake vessels, this piece is an ambitious work that was pushed to the very limit of firing, right to the brink of breakage. Having become a representative style for Koriki-sensei, this piece is fired to its absolute threshold; the ash-covered yohen has partially melted into a smooth, \"sea cucumber\" skin, over which pitch-black, lava-like ash has accumulated—partially raised and partially dripping in black beads to form a scene of intense impact. Despite such aggressive firing, the form remains light and delicate, as if indifferent to the ferocity of the flames, demonstrating Koriki-sensei’s pride in creating a vessel that is perfect for serving sake.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san) included\u003cbr\u003e\nRim 3.3cm × Body 8.2cm × 8.1cm × Height 13.0cm, Capacity approx. 320cc\n\nYoshiteru Koriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture. Influenced by his pottery-loving father, he aspired to a career in ceramics and, after graduating from high school, began studying under the father-and-son duo of Sozan and Yuho Kaneshige in 1989. After seven years of training, he built his own climbing kiln in Shizutani, Bizen City, in 1996, and successfully fired his first kiln the following year. He held his first solo exhibition in Tokyo in 2000 and has held annual solo exhibitions ever since. In 1999, he was selected for the \"Kita no Kashiki\" (Tea Sweets Vessel) Exhibition, and in 2002, he was selected for the \"Chanoyu no Zokei\" (Forms of Tea Ceremony) Exhibition for the first time.","brand":"高力芳照","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618661879905,"sku":"4787","price":35000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/4787.jpg?v=1790239510","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p4787","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
