{"product_id":"p4880","title":"Ibe Tokkuri","description":"This is an Ibe sake bottle by Michiaki Kaneshige, who was born as the eldest son of the Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige and captivated everyone with a style that infused a unique sensibility into tradition. Judging from the box inscription and the \"Michiaki\" seal, this piece dates to his middle period. It has a substantial, slightly hefty weight in the hand, which, combined with the orthodox form characteristic of Michiaki, gives it an unaffected and rustic atmosphere. The kiln-change effects are centered on a simple, warm landscape, with a lovely interplay of soft orange \"nuke\" (clear areas), understated goma (ash glaze), and sangiri (reduction firing). The entire piece has a moist, gentle texture, making it a joy to \"nurture\" through the use of sake.\n\nSigned wooden box (double-crosspiece)\u003cbr\u003e\nRim 4.0cm x Body 9.0cm x Body 9.0cm x Height 12.6cm, Capacity approx. 370cc\n\nMichiaki Kaneshige (1934–1995) was born in Ibe as the eldest son of the Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige.
