{"product_id":"p4931","title":"Glass S-\"Premium Edition\"","description":"This is the new \"Premium Edition\" glass S from Toru Ichikawa, who made a striking debut after studying under Ryuichi Kakurezaki. It is a highly original and exceptional piece, characteristic of Ichikawa-sensei, who gives shape to his ceaseless flow of ideas through the supreme medium of clay. As a special work among his Shino-style pieces, it has been titled \"S-Premium Edition,\" taking the \"S\" from \"SHINO.\" It achieves a balance between the intriguing quality of the intensely fired feldspar glaze itself and the ceramic fascination of the red clay body showing through to transform the glaze into a pinkish tone. This ambitious work was also created using an incredibly unconventional firing method, in which the kiln was opened during the gas firing process, and the artist, wearing fireproof gear, applied ash glaze directly onto the pieces inside. The ash glaze from that moment clings to the front of the piece like a melted gold nugget.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.5cm × Diameter 7.5cm × Height 11.8cm\n\nToru Ichikawa-sensei was born in Tokyo.
