{"product_id":"p4934","title":"Ibe Tokkuri","description":"This is a newly fired Ibe tokkuri (sake bottle) by Yuho Kaneshige, a potter who, while belonging to the Kaneshige lineage, constantly questions himself and creates works as an individual potter named Yuho rather than as \"Kaneshige Yuho.\" This is a haikaburi (ash-covered) yohen piece that Yuho-sensei worked on with great anticipation, having contemplated various thoughts and ideas regarding practicing the traditional ash-covered yohen technique within the Kaneshige family. True to Yuho-sensei, who treats clay with a reverence akin to faith, the quality of the clay itself goes without saying, and the base hi-iro (scarlet color) displays an exquisite, melt-in-your-mouth hue. At first glance, the katatsuki (shouldered) shape feels powerful, but upon closer inspection, the exquisite wheel-work gives it a mysterious charm that evokes a sense of cuteness and endearment rather than sheer strength. Perhaps it is the skill of a master, but as I hold and gaze at it, I feel as if I am cradling a sweet baby.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san style)\u003cbr\u003e\nRim 3.3cm x Body 8.2cm x 8.1cm x Height 15.3cm Capacity 430cc\n\nYuho Kaneshige was born as the third son of the holder of Intangible Cultural Property, Sozan Kaneshige. He creates tableware, focusing mainly on tea ceramics such as tea bowls, water jars, and flower vases. For his tea bowls, which he particularly enjoys, he emphasizes the interior molding (mikomi) while pursuing a balance on the exterior. He has received the Sanyo Shimbun Prize at the Prefectural Exhibition, the Encouragement Award at the Tea Ceremony Molding Exhibition, and the Encouragement Award at the Tanko Biennale. In 2003, he received the Japan Ceramic Society Award. In 2018, he received the Sanyo Shimbun Cultural Merit Award. He is also dedicated to solo exhibitions, which are held in various locations. In 2019, he was certified as a holder of an Okayama Prefecture Designated Important Intangible Cultural Property.","brand":"金重有邦","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618665877601,"sku":"4934","price":160000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/4934.jpg?v=1790239653","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p4934","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
