{"product_id":"p5030","title":"Bizen-ware liquor vessel","description":"This new Bizen ware western-style liquor vessel is the work of Takashi Baba, who was born in Inbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating pieces and firing kilns. A signature feature is that it is thrown as a single piece; while it has some weight, it possesses a profound style with the stem and cup integrated into one. Taking advantage of the single-piece construction, he has applied fine spatula marks throughout the vessel, and by reversing the direction of these marks between the stem and the cup, he has created a design that makes it appear as though the clay is being twisted at the stem. The *hidasuki* (fire-cord) pattern inside the cup is also a clear, beautiful hue.\n\nPaper box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.7cm x Diameter 8.7cm x Height 13.1cm\n\nTakashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
