{"product_id":"p5123","title":"Bizen Beer Mug (Large)","description":"This is a brand-new Bizen beer mug, freshly fired from the kiln by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Kouriki, a former apprentice to the late master Sozan Kaneshige. This latest piece, fired in early summer 2018, is an extra-large mug crafted with the goal of bringing out the best qualities of Bizen clay and surpassing glass mugs. It is a rare, extra-large Bizen beer mug that holds approximately 1100ml, comparable to a standard beer mug. True to Kouriki’s style, it is made with high-quality Bizen clay; its moist, fine-grained texture creates a finer beer foam, significantly enhancing the flavor. Chilling the mug before use allows the clay to absorb moisture, further accentuating the beauty of its earthy character and \"goma\" (ash glaze) patterns. It is an affordable, perfect masterpiece for the hot summer months, making it an ideal gift.\n\nPaper box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 16.5cm x 12.3cm x Height 17.3cm\n\nYoshiteru Kouriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.
