{"product_id":"p5128","title":"Ceramic Sake Cup, Ancient Vermilion","description":"This is a new *tōtai-shunomi* (ceramic-body sake cup) in ancient vermilion by Koji Nakahara, who studied under Fumio Kawabata and aims to create works that suit contemporary life. It is a piece of *tōtai-shikki* (lacquerware with a ceramic base) with a primitive vermilion surface that is incredibly stylish. Applying the *byakudan-nuri* technique, gold accents resembling *maki-e* are painted on the interior and the foot, creating an intriguing, powerful, and divine atmosphere reminiscent of ancient ritual vessels. Instead of using a potter's wheel, the piece was intentionally formed using plaster molds; the visible mold lines and the inorganic texture, which can only be achieved through molding, harmonize perfectly with the ancient vermilion aesthetic.\n\nIncludes a signed wooden box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.1cm × Diameter 8.0cm × Height 3.3cm\n\nKoji Nakahara was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1978.
