{"product_id":"p5188","title":"Black pot","description":"This is a new black bowl by Masao Akitani, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with a unique originality rooted in a modern spirit. It is crafted using the Kuro-Bizen (black Bizen) technique inherited from his mentor, Jun Isezaki, and features a lovely, deep, lustrous black finish that nonetheless retains a warm tone. By using black clay from Osafune Isokami and applying it by melting it onto the surface, the piece achieves its black coloration; meanwhile, the vigorous \"tobi-goma\" (splashed ash)—a delightful result of firing in an anagama kiln—mixes with the black clay to reveal beautiful, emerald-like blue ash glazes in the center of the interior. The form is a very simple deep bowl, making it versatile and well-suited for any dish.\n\nNo box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 19.4cm × Diameter 19.1cm × Height 8.5cm\n\nMasao Akitani was born in Saitama in 1968.
