{"product_id":"p5248","title":"Yohen Aoi Guinomi (Kiln-change Blue Sake Cup)","description":"This is a new \"Yohen-Ao\" (transmuted blue) sake cup by Takashi Baba, an artist born in Imbe who has loved Bizen ware since childhood and finds his life’s joy in creating works and firing kilns. This latest piece was just taken from the kiln in October. It represents an evolution of the black Bizen ware using painted clay that Baba is known for, where portions of the black surface have transformed into a vivid cobalt blue. What is most eye-catching is the intense cobalt blue coloration that gives the \"Yohen-Ao\" its name, but even the black areas show a deep, jewel-like luster caused by a strong firing reaction. The slightly cylindrical form, combined with a sharp design featuring the abundant use of spatula cuts typical of Baba's style, creates a stylish aesthetic that makes the most of the cool beauty of the transmuted blue.\n\nSigned box to be provided later\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.0cm × 6.2cm × Height 6.8cm\n\nTakashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
