{"product_id":"p5332","title":"Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a newly fired Bizen sake cup by Kosuke Kaneshige, the leader of the Kaneshige family and son of the legendary Living National Treasure and restorer of Bizen ware, Toyo Kaneshige. This piece features what is known as \"kase-yohen\" (matte kiln-altered) firing, where one side was placed in a position to develop a matte sesame glaze and bark-like texture, while the other side was buried in embers against the inner kiln wall. The striking transition of the landscape, as if two different works had been cut and joined together, is fascinating. It is a luxurious piece that allows you to enjoy both the intense, lava-like ash-covered landscape and a surface texture so organic it hardly seems like pottery. Furthermore, the center features a \"nuke\" (clear patch) that reacts to moisture, a hallmark of Bizen ware, ensuring it will provide endless enjoyment for years to come.\n\nSigned box\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.8cm × 6.2cm × Height 5.7cm\n\nKosuke Kaneshige is the third son of Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige.
