{"product_id":"p5490","title":"Ido-cup","description":"This Ido sake cup is by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superb aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his work with clay, firing, and form. Reflecting his passion for researching not only Bizen ware but also Ido pottery, this piece possesses a style and seasoned quality reminiscent of the classics. Aiming to translate the tactile appeal that ancient tea masters loved in Ido bowls directly into a sake cup, he has crafted a piece with an elegant, bowl-like form, featuring stunning crackle glaze and *kairagi* (plum blossom) textures that promise to develop beautifully with use. This particular piece is especially notable for its magnificent *gohonde*-style pale red spots, which harmonize perfectly with the gentle, milky-white glaze that has a restrained, vivid quality.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided at a later date\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.9cm x 8.5cm x Height 5.1cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
